Masaryk University Information System - 10 Years of Experience
Information System (http://is.muni.cz/), providing a large-scale electronic support for managing school- and study-related records and offering a wide range of educational tools as well as e-learning (http://elportal.cz/), has been running since 1999. Applications allow students to easily manage their inter-faculty studies, create their own study plans and schedule their credit-winning activities. The success relies on removing queues from Offices for Studies and simplifying academic processes. The system is designed on a unique technology for running mission-critical data smoothly and awarded not only the EUNIS Elite Award in 2005, but also the Itanium Solutions Alliance Innovation Award Finalist in 2009.
