Vladimír Bužek
Prof. Dr. Vladimír Bužek, DrSc. graduated from the Moscow State University (both MSc and Ph.D. in 1982 and 1985, respectively). His research interests have been focused primarily on theoretical quantum optics and quantum information sciences. He is best known for his work on the reconstruction of quantum states and processes from incomplete experimental data, programmable quantum processors, quantum cloning, novel algorithms for quantum secret sharing and quantum voting protocols. Altogether he published more than 230 research papers and 15 chapters in books that were cited in the scientific literature more than 12 000 times. Mário Ziman
Mário Ziman studied theoretical physics at Comenius University in Bratislava. He completed his doctoral studies at the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where under the guidance of prof. Vladimír Bužek worked on programmable quantum processors, models of quantum dynamics and the issue of multiparticle quantum coupling. As part of the SCIEX postdoctoral fellowship, he worked at the ETH in Zurich. Djeylan Aktas
Dr. Djeylan Aktas is head of the experimental photonics quantum communication group at the Institute of Physics of Slovak Academy of Sciences (IPSAS). He received his diploma in fundamental physics from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in 2011. He has obtained a PhD in experimental quantum photonics in the same university at the INPHYNI with the QPI team in 2016 gaining a wide knowledge in designing complex photonics experiments and their applications in quantum communication and sensing. Miroslav Grajcar
Prof. Miroslav Grajcar, DrSc., Graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Comenius University (MSc in 1989 and PhD in 1993). He is an expert in accurate measurements at low temperatures, mainly focused on superconducting qubits. He designed and participated in the implementation of the first three-qubit adiabatic quantum simulator. He has published more than 100 CC scientific papers cited in the scientific literature more than 3,000 times. Rupert Ursin
Dr. Rupert Ursin is the co-founder of the quantum technology company qtlabs GmbH and the leader of the quantum communication group at the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. His research focuses primarily on the development of quantum communication infrastructures on earth, but also in space.
