Jana Kontúrová was born on November 14, 1963 in Partizánske. She studied mathematical analysis at the Charles University IFF in Bratislava. She worked as a programmer on the project Optimization of shoe exports using the simplex method and as an informatics of the department store network she was involved in the introduction of the first bar code in Slovakia at PRIOR Trenčín. She has been working at the primary school in Bošany for 30 years, of which the last 14 years have been the school principal.
