Peter Dufek is a graduate of engineering studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the SVŠT and doctoral studies in the field of Business Management at the Faculty of Economics of the Comenius University in Bratislava. He has been working in the field of information security and personal data protection since 2001. He has experience in managing information and cyber security as well as GDPR in the banking, telecommunications and healthcare sectors. Since April 2020, he has been working as a Cyber ​​Security Manager at Penta Hospitals SK (previously under the trade name Svet zdravia and Procare), the largest operator of private medical facilities and health care provider in Slovakia.

He has been active in the information technology sphere since 2003. He has been employed at the University Hospital Martin since 2007, where he held several positions in the field of information technology. He has been involved in cybersecurity since 2017, at first as an IT specialist and later, from 2022, as a cybersecurity manager. He also acts as a cybersecurity consultant at the J. A. Reiman hospital Prešov and as a cybersecurity manager he was active in the Hospital Myjava. In 2022, he founded a platform for the exchange of experience and cooperation of hospitals in the field of cybersecurity - the Cybersecurity Forum of Slovak Hospitals.
