He is a graduate of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. Since 2005, he has been working at the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising in Banská Bystrica. He deals with the issue of armaments and equipment of the Slovak, insurgent army and also partisan units. He has published several scientific studies and professional articles on the mentioned issue. He is the author and co-author of monographs II. Slovak Partisan Brigade of M.R. Štefánika and Turiec, Slovak National Uprising 1944, or Assault Bond Regiment 1944.

He is currently the ambassador of the Slovak Republic to NATO, in the past he was an adviser to the president for foreign policy, defense and security. He has been professionally engaged in foreign, international and security policy for almost 20 years. He worked as an expert, advisor and diplomat at the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Republic to NATO.

Michal is an experienced leader and manager with two decades of experience in the field of cybersecurity and software development. Before founding Gerulata Technologies in 2020, Michal worked on a number of leadership positions, including more than 10 years as the CMO in ESET, a global leader in cybersecurity. Michal has a masters degree in business administration from the University of Oxford.
