Data protection from the perspective of healthcare providers. Why is the protection of personal health data in Slovakia at a low level? Are small practices protected against risk? What security measures should be taken? How to help the outpatient sector to better protect their patients' data? What to do in case a doctor loses health records? What is the risk to the patient if medical records are lost or altered? What should be the role of the Data Protection Authority?

13:20 - 14:10 European Health Data Space: optimising the use of health data (hall London I+II)
The aim of the EHDS is to facilitate patients' access to their personal data and to support the exchange and sharing of health data throughout the European Union. EHDS strives to create a secure environment for data exchange that respects privacy. The initiative supports the availability of high-quality health data for research, policy-making and innovation in healthcare. EHDS emphasizes the importance of data governance, ethical principles and data protection compliance and enables the exchange of health data between stakeholders such as healthcare providers, researchers, policy makers and patients. To achieve the above objectives, the EHDS supports the use of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analysis to gain knowledge and support evidence-based decision-making. How is Slovakia preparing for the implementation of the EHDS and what steps need to be taken for effective participation in this pan-European initiative? What benefits will it bring for the system and the patient? What must the new government do?

Slovakia has been involved for a year in the European Partnership, which is working on health systems change across the European Union. The outputs of this project are of a high quality and, in addition to the possibility of additional funding to address some of the challenges in the health sector, the project also brings a unique opportunity to implement pilot solutions for whole system transformation. The MoH is one of the partners of this unique partnership. How can we benefit from the project as a country? What can and should be our expectations for the next period?
