Complex Solution for Automobile Producers and Importers
Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic (ZAP SR) elaborated the project eZAP in the autumn 2005. ZAP SR responded to the change in connection with the amendment on Law on wastes. The project provides for all the processes at old vehicles processing efficiently. Its main function is to collect data and connection among four aggrieved parties in the process of processing and liquidation of old vehicles: the Slovak Ministry of Environment, the processors of old vehicles, the Slovak Interior Ministry – the register of vehicles, and producers, or their representatives – car importers associated in ZAP SR. In a short time, with effect from January 1, 2006, the eZAP project provided for all the basic claims assigned by Law, and full integration to other IS takes place now.
During project realization and parameterization of interconnection between the systems of car evidence the eZAP function was expanded by the second phase. Issued Certificates of Car Evidence (so-called Vehicle Identification Card) are made by producers or their representatives. By means of eZAP system, the processed data is inserted in electronic form to the central car evidence in the Slovak Interior Ministry. Producers or their representatives provide over 65.000 of correct new records in the information system of the Slovak Interior Ministry a year by this interconnection. Till now the records were being rewritten from paper form of Certificate of Car Evidence by hand.
The whole project was implemented in cooperation with Siemens Business Services, the member of the ZAP SR association.
