If public investments in Slovakia were as high as in neighboring countries, three hospitals a year or 13 kilometers of new highways could be built here. The recommendations of the government experts in the form of instructions respond to how to make the use of EU funds more efficient in Slovakia. It was prepared by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic. It is a series of 36 recommendations aimed at streamlining processes at various stages of project planning and implementation.

Ing. Lívia Vašáková, PhD., works in the energy sector as the Director of the Corporate Development and Public Relations Division for the ZSE Group. She is the former Director General of the Recovery Plan Section at the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, where she developed Slovakia’s recovery plan and implemented an efficient system for its execution, securing over one-third of the allocated funds and positioning Slovakia among the EU’s top-performing countries.
