Norbert Žilka is currently the director of the Institute of Neuroimmunology of the SAS, where he held several research positions from 1998 to 2020. He specializes in research in the field of neurodegenerative diseases of the human brain and the preclinical and clinical development of drugs that modify this disease.

Zuzana Danková has been engaged in science and research for more than 20 years, with an emphasis on the analysis of genetic factors causing cardiovascular and cancer diseases. She participated in several epidemiological and population studies and screening programs. In recent years, she has been implementing systemic biobanking in Slovakia, thus trying to eliminate undesirable pre-analytical factors leading to an increase in the quality and reproducibility of research.
