What is Slovakia's capability in addressing cyber incidents? Do we have sufficient capacities established? Are the most advanced security monitoring technologies realistically available to us? What is the difference between SOC, CSIRT, and CERT? How do commercial services of security operations centers function? What job roles are utilized by a typical SOC or CSIRT? And do we have enough qualified personnel? What metric is used to measure the level of services provided by SOC? When is it necessary to involve an expert in the incident resolution process? These and many other questions are commonly raised in discussions about readiness for cybersecurity incidents.

14:15 - 15:10 Cyber security doctrine - rules or technology? (hall ROME) INTERPRETED
The People, Process, Technology (PPT) principle has emerged as part of management theory, particularly in the context of business process improvement and the introduction of information technology. This principle was first systematically described and popularised in the 1960s and 1970s when organisations began to look at managing their operations more comprehensively and integrating technology into their business processes. Over the years, the concept has been emphasized particularly in the context of information asset security. Does the level of cybersecurity affect the level of strict adherence to corporate culture or the security tools that support and enable the effective execution of processes? Is resilience to cyber threats more significantly affected by a lack of employee knowledge or a lack of funding to implement appropriate technologies? Is it even possible to enforce compliance with security policies by employees and third parties? Can we count on positive changes in user behaviour or do we rely on innovative technologies? Is awareness raising an effective security strategy? Several senior Slovak information and cyber security managers will discuss a number of these and similar questions.

The National Cyber Security Strategy is a basic strategic document that comprehensively determines the Slovak Republic's strategic approach to guaranteeing cyber security. Part of the national strategy is an action plan as a specific plan of partial tasks and resources. The last National Strategy, including its action plan, was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic on January 7, 2021.
This strategy and action plan are valid for the years 2021 to 2025. What are the goals, priorities, and management framework to achieve these goals and what are the priorities of the tasks and responsibilities of public authorities and other relevant entities? Which tasks of the action plan have been fulfilled and which have not yet been fulfilled? And will a fundamental change in the set course be necessary?
