Open Source technology at the City Bureau in Banska Bystrica
The IT dpt. of the Municipal office - City of Banská Bystrica, has been interested in the open-source technology for years. We have deployed many open-source based solutions for the office, both on server and client side of the infrastructure. We embrace the open standards, accordingly to the strategic documents of Slovak Republic and the EU, and following the legislative. Our presentation will be focused on the approach, open-source products we use, open standards, the reasons and ways of their deployment, together with our experience. The presentation will grade with the open-source GIS solution of our Main Architect Unit.
