Lukrecia Marcokova studied at the Chemical - technology School, department of Technology of organic production at the Slovak Technological University. After the university she started to work as an administrative worker in Jolly Auto company in Banovce nad Bebravou. Afterwords she worked in Slovakofarma, a.s., Hlohovec as an technologist at the Division of farmaceutical substances and later on as an chief technologist at the Division of farmaceutical substances. From July 1998 she's been working at the Bureau of industrial property in Banska Bystrica where she's been a director of the Patent Department since 2004.
