Dutch innovations make driving a car easier, more economical and safer.
Imagine a car who can think. Imagine cars, trucks, busses and motorcycles who will be able to communicate with each other as well as with the surroundings in order to prevent traffic-jams, to inform emergency services real-time about accidents and to project information about the situation on the road some kilometres ahead on a display in the car. Imagine a car that can drive itself. Imagine this is now reality.
A group of nine Dutch companies has in cooperation with four universities succeeded in making vehicles smarter, more economical and safer. State-of-the-art technology has been put together in an affordable box that fits in the dashboard of practically every car or truck.
Chris Bannink from Logica the Netherlands, will speak about the essence of this www.SPITS-project.com. An open platform, ready to use and which has won the German NOAE Innovation Champion award.
