Michal Sygút (37) studied at Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. He was a teacher at High school and Pedagogical and social academy in Turčianske Teplice, later worked in Devín banka in the Department of property and services. Since 2003 he worked as Head of District Authority in Turčianske Teplice. From 2005 he was a director of Social Insurance Agency branch in Martin. In 2006 he was elected a mayor of City of Turčianske Teplice. As a mayor he boasts several successful projects such as Voucher System of Turčianske Teplice which received the award “Innovation of Zilina Region 2008” and the project Digital City.
