Ian Pretty
Ian is Capgemini’s Global Tax & Welfare Lead and advises senior Tax Agency managers in a number of countries including Sweden, Australia, the USA and the Netherlands. He is a former British Senior Civil Servant and prior to joining Capgemini Ian’s career spanned a number of posts in the UK Tax Agency and in the Prime Minister’s Office (cabinet Office). He has extensive experience working in the UK Tax, Social Insurance and Customs Agency including mergers of these agencies. During his career, Ian held several posts in the areas of strategy, transformation and planning, such as: Director of Strategy, Finance & Planning in the UK Tax Agency, Director of Projects in Prime Minister’s Office and others. Ian’s various posts have given him in-depth understanding of networking across Government, Special Advisors and Ministers as well as managing the commercial sector’s relationship with Government particularly in major outsourcing deals.
