Internet economy as an opportunity for Slovakia (Vision of Internet)
The high growth potential for the Slovak internet economics is hidden in two main areas. On the one hand, it is important to focus on the weak points of connection of users, companies and public administration, and on the other hand, Slovakia can significantly move forward the "high value-added export", which is influenced mainly by the quality of technological education, centralized policy of innovation and support of research and development in public as well as private sectors.
The export of information and communication technology, services and software may become a key to the Slovak economic development, with 30% contribution to internet economics. At present, the ICT sector creates approximately 2.3% of job positions in Slovakia (approximately 30 thousand employees, of which 2/3 are from the sector of small and medium businesses).
