ICT developments related to cloud computing, big data, and mobility are ushering in a new era of services and administration possibilities. They are also transforming the way citizens communicate with each other and how they will expect to communicate with healthcare providers. This presentation examines these transformative trends, arguing that healthcare organizations must consider them and their impact when designing policy, services, and facilities.

Nino Giguashvili brings more than ten years of policy, healthcare, and research experience to her role as an analyst at IDC. Examining the intersection of healthcare and information technology, she has conducted research on national health and social protection systems, cost-effective public health interventions, and the barriers to obtaining treatment. She has worked closely with the Georgian Ministry of Health, advising on policy, healthcare reform, and financial issues. She has also worked with a number of international agencies such as UNICEF, USAID, and Oxfam.
