Early warning system
At ESET we have recently monitored an increase of specially altered harmful codes used for targete attacks on different types of organizations. We have therefore launched a project which will in the future help to detect occurrence of such a harmful code in initial phase of the attack at the organisation and warning the organisation of such a threat. The presentation will provide information on the project of early warning before targeted attack of a harmful code and description of information provided to the targeted organisation. -
Individual as a part of information system – main challenges to effective protection.
Do not forget the man!
Why not to miss the presentation?
Peter Katrinec will remind us what we tend to forget; that a human is behind even the most perfect information system. How are Slovak employees prepared for possible attack? We have tested it!
Executive Summary:
The presentation introduces a short analysis of malware development from the point of view of the of target recipients, focusing on a recent trend of personal interaction. Subsequently, based on analysis it assesses the present-day security awareness of employees in companies in Slovakia and Czech Republic – based on real-life examples and experience with employee resistance to social engineering attacks. In addition, it looks at the potential consequences of an actual attack on organizations and the available approaches to increasing security awareness.
