Ján Kuruc
During his professional career in information technologies, he has worked on several projects for public sector. In the period 2008-2009, in cooperation with Arthur D. Little company, he contributed to the development of numerous studies for various public administration institutions within the project Feasibility Studies for Projects under Priority Axis 1 – “Electronisation of Public Administration and Development of Electronic Services at the Central Level“.
In 2010, he joined Anext, a.s. as an IT consultant and he has worked on several projects. Subsequently, he became project manager and team leader. He contributed to the successful implementation of the project “The 2011 Population and Housing Census“ by leading a team responsible for implementation of several key components (Monitoring System, Knowledgebase, Support System as well as Implementation of Reporting System).
Implementation of the statistical information system modules within the project “Electronic Services of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic“ is another successful project under his leadership. He has been leading a team of employees responsible for implementation of various modules, such as Business intelligence tools for creating statistical outputs, Tools for data and metadata exchange based on SDMX standards, Knowledgebase system, as well as integration with CPAP and modules responsible for managing the process of public and mass media communication.
His main responsibilities include project management and design of complex architecture for state and public administration in the area of Business intelligence and custom development.

- Possibilities of using OpenSource Business Intelligence technologies as an approach to reduce operating costs of state institutions, to simplify the work with information and to make the information more comprendious.
- BI tools within internal processes in institutions of state and public administration and provision of functionality of these tools through user-friendly environment to the general public
The aim of the presentation is to show representatives of state and public administration solutions how to more effectively work with data and a more useable way of providing the data to general public as a result of utilization of reporting tools.
