Nicolae studied in the University of “Gheorghe Asachi” in Iasi, Romania where he obtained a Masters Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.  He continued his studies in the American University of Paris, France.
He started his career in the Telecommunications Industry in 1995 with a number of world-wide operational ICT projects such as core systems for internet and telecom providers, international airports, banks, hospitals, industrial manufacturers.
Since 2012 he has been working in the European Commission initially in the security domain and lately as a Policy Officer dealing with broadband issues as well as strategic ICT analyses in the MS.
He speaks Romanian as well as fluent English and French.
