European perspective on Trust Services

/ Lecture
Regulation (EU) 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market is a powerful tool that introduces mutual recognition of electronic identities across Europe and regulates the European market of trust services. Currently secondary legislation is being developed, providing for precise implementation of the Regulation. During the presentation the main provisions of the Regulation will be explained, with the analysis, among others, of the impact on national eGovernment services, as well as the process of introducing the Regulation. Some practical recommendations for Trust Service Providers and Member States supervisory authorities, developed by ENISA, will also be mentioned.
