How to preserve data for 500 years?
Norwegian company Piql has invented unique system of long term preservation of digital data in archival formats on photosensitive film (Piql Film). The idea of this technology is to safely, economically and effectively preserve valuable digital data to future. One of the basic benefits of data preservation using Piql technology is its offline capability to store digital and visual data for more than 500 years in ISO storage conditions. Combining innovative research and trusted technologies Piql has created OAIS compliant system to store digital data. The research was cofounded by EU and Norwegian funds.
