Malina Portal - an effective tool for ensuring the most appropriate follow-up and long-term care in a timely manner
The MALINA portal, as the first national navigator of an available service in situations of helplessness, was officially put into operation in March 2019. Its goal is to prevent situations of helplessness, deterioration of the condition due to late provision of the necessary service. The reason for its creation was the lack of timely help in assessing the need for continued care in connection with the deterioration of health and self-sufficiency as a serious societal professional and ethical problem. The presented idea of assessing the health and social status based on a simple application with a link to search for a suitable service and free capacity already when the patient is discharged from the hospital is an original Slovak idea.
