Innovation vs. Digital Regulation: the Economic Impact of EU Protectionism on the Slovak Republic
Aleš Rod's contribution defines the business environment as a key factor for innovation in the economy. The economic environment in the European Union is determined by both national and transnational legislation. At the same time, it is transnational regulation that often plays the role of a barrier to development, because the interests of member countries differ. However, protectionist EU policies do not affect all countries in the same way - while in some countries they may represent the protection of the economic rent of national providers, in other countries they may represent a barrier to growth. Such countries may include, for example, the Czech Republic or Slovakia.
