Anca holds a Ph.D. Degree in Artificial Intelligence and over 10 years of experience as a researcher in Argentina and Romania. Her work was published in two prestigious international journals in her field of expertise and awarded by the Romanian Ministry of Research and Education. She had collaborations with the United Nations University on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) and UNESCO and in 2022 she was among the first 40 female data scientists in a competition organized by Stanford University. During her over 18 years of activity, she activated in fields like IoT, Deep Tech, Smart City, cybersecurity and more recently Space & Astronautics. She founded two startups and put her mark on several innovative products and initiatives, which led her to be awarded by the Dubai Government and included in the Top 100 Females Founders list by Forbes in 2018.  Anca owns her A.I. Consultancy & Research company (avaresearch.ai) focused on conceptualizing and implementing AI solutions and strategies. Currently, she also coordinates several Smart City projects and collaborates as a mentor and Data Scientist expert with organizations such as Women in Tech and Women in AI USA.
