He works at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava as the director of the Institute of Electronics and Photonics. As part of research and development, together with a group of mostly young collaborators, he deals with the issue of telemedicine elements and systems. He is the bearer of several research and development projects in the domain of electronics and photonics, while in the given issue he is the author resp. co-author of 47 publications listed in the Scopus database with 203 citation responses. He tries to transfer the results of research and development efforts into practical applications and thus strengthen the position of telemedicine in health care. He focuses on the issue of the interdisciplinary connection of the technical sphere and healthcare at the level of preparation of the study program as a basis for the creation of an educational base for the future effective use of telemedicine technologies in healthcare. He is also a member of the Expert Group of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University in Bratislava for the development of the concept of the Management and Health Technologies study program.
