Benita Fekete studied at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pavel Jozef Šafárik in Košice, where she completed her bachelor's degree in social work and also received a PhD in political science. She gained practical experience at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Bucharest and the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations in Geneva. She collaborated with Stratpol, a thin-tank for research on international relations and security policy, and the Infosecurity portal, which focuses on the control of the information space with regard to disinformation and security. After her studies, she worked as a political editor. She began to cover the field of healthcare in the TREND weekly. She currently works as a medical journalist in the professional monthly Medicine, whose professional guarantor is the TREND weekly.
