Csaba Madarász
Csaba has a background in journalism and communications studies, and an expert in digital government. His primary professional focus are the new and innovative forms of government services/processes, disaster preparedness the harness of citizen participation with the help of digital tools. He has a background working with local governments for more than 10 years now, and has been actively involved in the Hungarian Open Government Commitments design and implementation process. In the past two years, he has trained local reprsentatives, local governments and citizen groups about techniques to strenghten local transparency and citizen participation in connection with the „Glass Village” model project.
He is also the president of KDE Foundation, a non-profit organization which developes and adopts open source tools for improving decision making. He is organizer of open government meetups, Democracy Happenings and various activities to promote dialogue between citizens, experts and government entities.
