Daniel Straka
Since 2017, Daniel Straka has been working as the Executive Director of the Slovak Organization for Research and Development Activities. He has more than 13 years of experience in the development and implementation of research and innovation policies at national and European level. In 2014, he founded and led the Liaison Office of the Slovak Republic for Research and Development in Brussels (SLORD). He has experience in preparing and implementing international projects, as well as organizing international conferences both in Slovakia and in Brussels. From 2011 to 2013 he served as the Executive Director at SOVVA, and was responsible for managing the support structures of the EU's 7th Framework Program for Research and Development. Previously he worked at the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. He has contributed to preparation of a number of research, innovation and participation analyzes in the european research area. He co-ordinates the organization of the largest event aimed at popularizing science in Slovakia - European Researchers' Night. Daniel graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava.
