Elena Prokopová
She completed her studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1997. She finished her studies with honors and a prize from the dean of the medical faculty UK. From 1997 – 2006 she worked at the Neonatal Clinic of M. Rusnák SZU. From 2006 works as a general practitioner for children and adolescents in Bratislava. From 2017 she is the main expert of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for the field of general care for children and adolescents, she is the president of the professional society of primary pediatrics SSPPS SLS, a member of the committee of the Slovak Pediatric Society of the Slovak Medical Society, a member of ESPID – European Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases, during the Covid-19 pandemic she was a member Council of experts of the Pandemic Commission of the Slovak Government. She is a member of several working groups of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Education ,Science , Research and Sports of the SR. She completed a specialized study in pediatrics, a certified study in clinical drug testing. Areas of her professional interest include health policy in the ambulatory sphere and pediatrics, vaccinology, infectology. She has extensive lecturing activities in the Slovak Republic and abroad, and is the author and co-author of many professional publications. She is intensively dedicated to educating parents in matters of child health care.
