He works as the dean of the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of the University of Žilina. During his time at the faculty, he has so far led more than 90 projects of applied research in the field of development of information and communication systems, intelligent transport systems, control systems in railway transport, autonomous trains and security of information systems. He is the author of systems for automatic construction of train paths implemented on dozens of railway corridor lines in the Czech Republic. He devotes much of his energy to linking university education to practice. He is currently a member of nine Scientific Councils of Faculties in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Presidium of the ZAIT (IT cluster of the Žilina Region).

 
  • DISCUSSION on digital skills

    „According to the EC, 80% of the EU population needs to have at least basic digital skills by the year 2030. Slovakia needs to reach this level as soon as possible and that’s why we’re preparing (in close cooperation with the most important stakeholders) the National strategy for digital skills together with other strategic documents.
