Erik Minarovič

Ministry of Finance SR, general director of the Information Technology Section

He is a graduate of the University of Žilina, Faculty of Electrical Engineering with a specialization in information and security systems. After graduating from the university he worked in several public administration organizations, starting with the Civil Service Office, the Social Welfare and Family Labour Office, the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic.  He worked as a project manager, implementing ITIL and PRINCE2 processes and held various professional, advisory and project management positions. For the last 10 years he has been working in IT management. He has experience in terms of strategic IT project management, IT architecture, business processes, application and infrastructure services, experience in the development of strategies and policies for the security of information systems and the implementation of security policies, the development of methodologies, IT projects funded from EU sources. Currently, he is the Director General of the Information Technology Section of the Ministry of Finance, where he promotes steps to increase the efficiency of IS operations under the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance and cost optimization. He is a member of the expert organisation of the competence certification centre for cybersecurity and a member of several supra-ministerial working groups.
