
František Sabol
General Director of AGEL Košice-Šaca Hospital and AGEL Košice-Šaca Cardiac Centre, Head of the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice and KCE, cardiac surgeon and university professor, who built and opened the prestigious AGEL Cardiac Centre in Košice-Šaca with his team in a record time. He was at birth and, for more than 17 years, led one of Slovakia's most successful medical institutions - the East Slovak Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases in Košice, where he founded the Cardiac Surgery Clinic and was its head for 13 years. He has extensive experience in managing hundreds of employees, as well as considerable teaching and scientific expertise. For several years, he was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. He worked as a cardiac surgeon at renowned international institutions. Professor Sabol is a member of the Slovak Medical Chamber, the Slovak Society of Cardiology, and the Czech Society of Cardiovascular Surgery. He is a member of the Scientific Council of AGEL and the Scientific Council of the UPJŠ LF in Košice. From 2012 to 2021, he was the chief expert for cardiac surgery at the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic; he was also a member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. He was appointed by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic as a regional expert for cardiac surgery.
