Henrieta Tulejová

Advance Healthcare Management Institute, Founder and lecturer
She is a co-founder and lecturer at the Advance Healthcare Management Institute, Prague, which provides executive education in the field of health services management to senior workers in the healthcare industry. She mainly lectures in the subjects of Healthcare Economics, Operational Management and New Trends in Healthcare and Health Insurance. For a long time, she has been engaged in analysis and consulting in the field of public health insurance and hospitals in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. She focuses on the establishment of sustainable multi-source financing of healthcare, innovative contracts in hospital and ambulatory care, improvement of care for chronically ill patients as well as DRG and benchmarking of resource consumption for hospitalization cases. In the past, she worked as a manager of the strategic planning department at Dôvera, zdravotná poisťovňa, a.s., where she devoted herself to the preparation and implementation of innovative projects such as the disease management program for diabetics, the Medipartner Plan managed care project, the PCG redistribution system, innovative payment mechanisms and DRG. Before that, she worked for several years as a member of the reform teams of Tomáš Julínek and Rudolf Zajac, where she dealt with the areas of regulation of health insurance companies and public health insurance.

  • More money for healthcare is an investment in the health and prosperity of society
    If we want to improve health care results and live to retire in good health, we need to finance the sector and gradually approach the share of spending on GDP in well-functioning systems. Otherwise, unofficial fees will continue to rise in the ambulances, which in 2023 amounted to 64 euros per citizen, a total of at least 300 million euros.
