Ivan Langer
Ivan Langer (1967), MD. Mgr.
He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc and the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. In the period of 1996-2010 he was Member of Parliament, in 1998-2006 he performed as Deputy in Chamber of Deputies. In the parliamentary service he mainly focused on security issues and the media. From September 2006 to May 2009 he acted as Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic. He is an author of the P1000 project and co-author of the computerization of public administration project - eGON. Since 2012 he has acted as an advocate. In the same time he deals with a number of community activities: Chairman of the Board of Safe Olomouc Foundation, Chairman of the Board CEVRO - Liberal Conservative Academy, o.s., and university CEVRO Institute, and a board member of the Board of an international political foundation New Direction - Foundation for European Reform.
