Ján Kyselovič
Ján Kyselovič graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Charles University in 1987. He finished his studies with the Rector's Award. He completed his postgraduate studies in the field of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in 1993. Subsequently, between 1992 and 2004, he participated in 4 long-term scientific and research stays abroad in Canada and Belgium. In 2005-2010, he was the head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Since 2009, he has been a full professor in the field of "Pharmacology", guarantor of the master's study program in Pharmacy, doctoral studies in the field of Pharmacology. In the years 2009-2013, he worked in the position of dean of the faculty. Since 2013, he has also been working as a professor of pharmacy at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. In the years 2020-2023, he was the general director of the Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic. Currently, since 2017, he is the head of the Department of Clinical Research of the Fifth Internal Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University in Bratislava. In the years 2012-2018, he worked as an EU expert for innovative medicine and worked in the Commission for Advanced Medical Products EMA in London. He has also been working for a long time as the vice-chairman of the Ethics Commission of the VÚC Bratislava, an assessor of the State Institute for the Control of Medicines and, since 2015, as the chairman of the Ethics Commission of the Innovative Pharmaceutical Industry. He is a member of the Working group on Cardiovascular Regenerative & Reparative Medicine and Working group on Cellular Biology of the Heart Member, European Society of Cardiology.
During his tenure, he was the supervisor of 8 bachelor's, 146 master's, 48 rigorous and 9 doctoral theses. He is currently a member of the university scientific councils of Charles University in Prague and the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. He was or is a member of the scientific councils of: Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University, Hradec Králové, Faculty of Pharmacy, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University, Brno, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU. Furthermore, the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, a member of the APVV Council for Medical Sciences. He is the author and co-author of more than 700 publications, of which more than 150 in extenso scientific works, 2 books, 4 manuscripts, editor of 2 books and 5 peer-reviewed collections. He was the responsible solver of more than a dozen national and international grant tasks and EU projects in a total amount exceeding €2.5 million.
