Jan Zadák
Jan Zadak serves as vice president & managing director and Technology Solutions Group (TSG) lead at Hewlett-Packard in the International Sales Europe (ISE) region. He is responsible for strategy and business growth in the 98 countries of Central-Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa by leveraging the entire HP portfolio of products and services, building and expanding HP’s regional presence, developing key partnerships and alliances to deliver business and IT solutions as well as by helping to build strong relationships and partnerships with governments in all major ISE countries.
Jan joined Compaq Computer in 1997 as the Central, South & East European regional sales manager for networking and communication products. In 2001 he was appointed general manager of Compaq Computer in the Czech Republic. After Compaq’s merger with HP in 2002, he became director of Enterprise Systems Group (ESG) sales, HP ISE. In this position, Jan played a key role in the successful integration of the pre-merger HP and Compaq Computer organisations in the region.
Before joining Compaq, Jan spent five years with Olivetti Czech Republic & Central and Eastern Europe in various sales and marketing management positions.
A native of the Czech Republic, Jan graduated from the Czech Technical University of Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in1988. He did a one year PhD study program at Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg in Germany in 1991, and gained a PhD from his alma mater, the Czech Technical University in 1992. Jan is fluent in English and has a passive knowledge of German, Italian and Russian.
