Jana Plevková
She works as the Director of the Medical Education Support Centre at the Jessenius Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Martin and is also a Professor in Normal and Pathological Physiology with a PhD in the field of Airway Defence Reflexes. She has research experience (supervised 7 PhD students) and teaching experience (23 years of teaching) in the field of medicine and non-medical study programs. Since 2010 she has been working on medical education issues and since 2012 she has been leading the department, which was initially established as a Simulation Centre and later expanded its portfolio of activities to other areas of medical education. Her goal and challenge is to innovate medical education in Slovakia with a focus on the development of clinical reasoning, procedural clinical skills and soft skills (competences) of medical students.
