Jaromír Beránek
Jaromír Beránek is the chairman of the IT and Smart City Committee and a representative of the City of Prague for the Czech Pirate Party. Its main focus is the development of the Smart City concept, support for innovation and innovative business in Prague. He works closely with the Mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib. Beránek advocates a long-term and conceptual approach to the development of the smart city as he is behind the project of the AC charging station network for Prague or the Prague Innovation Marathon competition. He also represents the city's interests in the prg.ai initiative, established jointly with CTU, UK and AS development of artificial intelligence.
Beránek graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University and the CEMS department at the University of Economics in Prague, and worked professionally in the field of telecommunications, innovation and startups. He is currently the chairman of the Prague Regional Association of Pirates. In his free time he enjoys running, hiking, plays the saxophone in the band Mizmar and is a co-author of a blog about Prague bakeries.
