Julianna Orbán Máté

She graduated from the Technical University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Finance, Banking and Investment, she did her pedagogical minimum simultaneously and completed her doctorate in finance in 2011. She worked in the private sector until 2013 and from 2013 until today she has been working in public administration as the director of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Via Carpatia with limited liability. From 2017 to 2020, she was working as the head of the Department of Regional Development of the Košice Self-Governing Region as well. She is a member of the Board of Directors of IT Valley, a member of the Board for the Least Developed Districts, a member of the RDP and Partnership 2020 working group. In addition to the development of border regions, in 2020 she was entrusted with the creation of the Regional innovation strategy; she represented the Košice Self-governing Region in topics closely related to innovations.

She is interested mainly in regional development, cross-border cooperation, development of small and medium-sized enterprises, education, tourism, supporting grant systems, research and development.
