Juraj Mrenica

Ing. Juraj Mrenica, PhD. (1974) completed his university studies at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, where he subsequently defended his doctorate. He established cooperation with the Ministry of Defense in 2002. He deepened his professional education as part of his licensed studies at the University of Pardubice and the Military Academy in Brno, in the field of ammunition, explosives and weapons construction.
Within the scope of the Ministry of Defense, he is permanently engaged in the area of development and modernization of the armed forces, where he has held various positions. He gained international experience mainly from working in NATO structures, where he worked for almost eight years through the NATO Permanent Delegation. He is currently the Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Research Support at the Modernization Section of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the National Director for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Defense. In addition to the national research and development program, his key purpose is international cooperation in NATO and EU armaments programs and projects, as well as research and development activities.
