László Mátyus finished his Master Studies at the University of Wageningen (The Netherlands) in 2008 and earned his university degree at the University of Debrecen (Hungary) in 2009.

He has spent 7 years in the media industry, as manager of online portals, marketing directory of daily newspapers, business analyst of acquisition opportunities and finally being the COO of an international online job board network operating in 9 countries.

Since fall 2016 he is a Smart City Senior Expert at EDC Debrecen working with his team on improving the quality of life in Debrecen.

EDC Debrecen is a non-profit organization owned by the municipality and the university, with the following core activities: Economic Development, Urban Development, Business Development and Smart City. The economic development agency greatly helped the city to achieve the Best FDI Strategy Award of Financial Times and to attract foreign investment, most recently the investment of the new manufacturing plant of BMW.
