MUDr. Ľuboslav Beňa, PhD., CETC is the director of the L. Pasteur University Hospital in Košice. He has been working at UHLP Košice for 30 years. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (1993), he first joined the First Internal Clinic as a doctor. After obtaining a specialization in internal medicine at SZU Bratislava, he also completed a specialization in nephrology. Subsequently, he worked as a nephrologist at the Dialysis Center within the clinic, and since 2004 he has been actively involved in the transplant program not only at UNLP, but also coordinates donations on a national scale, through membership in several professional societies in Slovakia and abroad. From 2009 to 2022, he was the head of the Transplantation Department of UNLP Košice, a regional expert of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for organ transplants in the Košice and Prešov regions, as well as a member of the Transplantation Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. Until 2022, he also served as the president of the Slovak Transplantology Society, today he is a member of its presidium and at the same time a member of the presidium of the Slovak Medical Society. From June 2022, he is the director of the second largest hospital in Slovakia. He recognizes professionalism and values ​​good interpersonal relations.
