DISCUSSION
The bottleneck of innovation or digital transformation is human resources. Because even the best plans at the end of the day depend on whether they are implemented by capable people. Let's not lie to ourselves. The situation is rapidly deteriorating, the demand is growing rapidly, and educated and capable people with high motivation are quickly becoming a scarce resource. What are we going to do about it?

DISCUSSION on digital skills
„According to the EC, 80% of the EU population needs to have at least basic digital skills by the year 2030. Slovakia needs to reach this level as soon as possible and that’s why we’re preparing (in close cooperation with the most important stakeholders) the National strategy for digital skills together with other strategic documents. These should prepare Slovakia for the inevitable actions in order to succeed.“ Gustáv Budinský

DISCUSSION: Why do we need a functioning and competitive digital state?
Discussions about leadership in any field lose their meaning if the functioning of the state, by its very nature, places obstacles and does not create an environment for the fulfillment of these ambitions. What does it mean in practice if we want Slovakia to be a world leader in something? In its current state, will the public sector support or hamper such efforts? Let us look at this through the eyes of those whose activities and business are significantly affected by the efficiency of state operation, rapid administration, availability of skilled labor and other areas, and answer the question of how the state and its digitization should go further, if Slovakia is really to play a leading role in something.
Speakers: Veronika Remišová (Deputy Prime Minister of investments, regional development and informatization of the Slovak Republic), Ronald Blaško (AmCham), Radoslav Danilák (Tachyum), Mário Lelovský (Republican Union of Employers), Anna Záhorčáková (DITEC)

The Digital Coalition of Slovakia and Professionally Oriented IT Specialist
At present, the requirements for adapting education to current and prospective labor market needs resonate. This also applies to the ICT sector in Slovakia, which, compared to the current state, where at least 13 000 ICT specialists are missing, will need additional capacities to handle digital transformation and digitization in all sectors and areas. Within the framework of the Digital Coalition, all relevant players in Slovakia are involved in tackling the lack of digital skills: the state, the academy community and companies. New Study Program, A professional-oriented bachelor - specialist can be placed on the labor market within four years from now after a three-year study. -
