Martin Horváth
Martin Horváth has been working on the topic of smart cities since 2019 in the environment of the Ministry of Economy and continues to work on this agenda at the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatics within the Section of Innovation, Strategic Investments and Analyzes (HUB). In the past, he worked as a lecturer and consultant for the Slovak Business Agency and was a partner and managing director of a branding consulting company focused on advising on brand strategies for almost 10 years. Prior to joining the business, he managed the Bratislava Tourism Organization as Executive Director. He also worked as the marketing and sales director of a private medical facility and in the past also held managerial positions in the SACR and SARIO agencies. His expertise is the topic of strategic reputation management with special emphasis on the place branding agenda. Within the topic of Smart Cities, in preparation for the Smart Cities Workshop conference organized in cooperation with the OECD, he focused on the transfer of expertise from abroad and the preparation of strategic material - the Smart Government Action Plan, which aims to standardize the management of smart cities in Slovakia.
