1994 - 2002 – Mayor of the town of Vranov nad Topľou

    The aim of the contribution is to present the project Datacenter of Villages and Towns (DCOM). The aim of the project is to build a special datacenter using the structural funds to help. The datacenter will provide municipal offices and local authorities with essential applications as a service with quality and price expedience guaranteed by ZMOS.
    Possibility of significant improves in standard solutions’ quality for local authorities and municipal offices, and opportunity to use these solutions also in smaller villages is the main contribution of the proposed solution. Cut down in municipality’s costs of IT and lowering dependency of local authorities on local IT suppliers are some other contributions. The mentioned vision of how to solve IT support at local authorities and municipal offices is fully in line with the current trends of IT use.
