IGNITE SESSION: Academic Security Team (CSIRT-UPJS)
The academic security team represents a unique combination of operational activity, research and the dissemination of security awareness.
The Academic Security Team (CSIRT-UPJS) has been operating at the Pavel Jozef Šafárik University in Košice since 2016. It is the first and currently still the only academic security team in the Slovak Republic. CSIRT-UPJS is dedicated not only to operational activities, but also to spreading security awareness (e.g. through the cybercrime summer school). In a short introduction, we will show how such a team works, what technologies it uses and especially how it helps the university, but also the surrounding educational organizations, in solving and preventing computer security incidents.
