MUDr. Peter Durný, PhD., MPH, is a graduate of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University in Bratislava. He holds specializations in surgery and neurosurgery, as well as in healthcare management and financing.
In January 2024, MUDr. Peter Durný, PhD., MPH, became the new director of the University Hospital in Martin. He was appointed to the position by Minister of Health Zuzana Dolinková.
Since 2004, MUDr. Peter Durný has worked at the Department of Neurosurgery at the Central Military Hospital SNP in Ružomberok, where he alternated between the roles of Deputy Head and Head of the Department from 2008 to 2023.
