Peter Kucer
Dr. Ing. Peter Kucer, MBA was the Head of Government Cloud at UPVII since March 1st, 2019 and his responsibilities include coordination of cloud service offerings and their usage for government cloud. He has previously completed his MBA in 2009 at the University of Reading in Reading, UK and PhD. In Electrical Engineering with a focus on adaptive control at the Slovak Technical University in Zilina Slovakia in 1994. Mr. Kucer has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, and since 2013 he is actively working with and interested in cloud technologies. Alongside his responsibilities at UPVII, he is also the leader of several groups involved with the government cloud.

Government cloud - government cloud services
Government cloud is cloud computing according to the standards of public administration information systems, operating in the form of a hybrid cloud, which is formed by government cloud services. The presentation provides a more detailed look at parts of the government cloud and their current status. In greater detail it explains the rules, defines the obligations and necessary information flows to ensure the efficient use of government cloud services, especially public cloud services. It gives an overview of currently enlisted government cloud services and suggests next steps for efficient use of the government cloud.

Governmment of Slovakia and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investment and Informatization are the bodies overseeing government cloud offering and their utilization according to the legislation of law 305/2013, paragraph 10a. This presentation provides a more detailed view of the operation of government cloud, and discusses the responsibilities of public authorities, government cloud service supplieres and the operations of UPPVII. It furthermore explains the rules, defines responsibilities and necessary information flow channels with the aim on ensuring more effective and purposeful utilization cloud services.
