Petra Kotuliaková
Founder and director of “Aj Ty v IT”, an organization that bridges gender stereotypes in the field of information technology and builds a technologically equitable society in Slovakia.
Petra Kotuliaková holds a Ph.D. from the University of Economics in Bratislava, concurrently she studied at the Institut des Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Université Pierre Mendés France in Grenobli. In 2015, represented, Slovakia in the area women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics within frame of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the US Department of State. In 2018 she received the Central European Startup Awards in the category of Female Role model of the year.

Presentation
We are aware of the lack of IT professionals in the long term, but solutions are coming very slowly. Especially women belong to a neglected group, which is still placed in the soft-skills industry. An unequal approach to IT education resulted in a significant decline of women in IT positions. A solution to this issue is within reach, but we need more active interaction between the state and the IT sector.
